Chanel Reverie Parisienne Spring Collection

Chanel Reverie Parisienne Spring Collection

Fancy a walk among the blossoming gardens of Paris in the springtime? Take a romantic trip with the new Chanel Rêverie Parisienne Spring make-up collection.

Inspired by the charm of Paris in the springtime, with its beautiful blooms and gardens reviving after the winter, the CHANEL Makeup Creation Studio, creates a collection blooming with radiant shades and contrasting colours of coral, pale pink, fuchsia and slate grey.

There are two unique beauty looks for the collection, each equally striking, but my favourite is the first look above with its perfect coral lip gloss, peachy eyes and shimmering pale green nails. Create it using these products:

Chanel Look 1 Lips Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes in Fleur de’ Eau (R420)

After attending the launch of this new collection I was spoiled with three products to test and enjoy for myself, my favourite of which is undoubtedly the Chanel Création Exclusive Jardin de Chanel Blush Camélia Rosé (LE) (R665).

Like so many of Chanel’s exclusive creations, I could sit and stare at this beauty for hours. It bears the most beautiful motif of the brand’s signature camellia flower (Mademoiselle Chanel’s favourite bloom) and offers a pretty duo of a soft and a dusky rose hue with just a touch of shimmer.

It works a charm to adorn cheeks with that romantic, sought-after flush – the kind you’d get after a a slow, meandering walk through the gardens of Paris. But the best part has to be the scent! Yes, this heavenly blush also has the most delicate, floral scent, which reminds me of sweet peas.

Chanel Le Vernis in Tenderly (R355). This pretty hue is a pleasant change from the typical pink and pastel shades that usually dominate during spring. Initially it looks quite warm and mauve, and you’ll get that sort of shade with just one coat. Once you apply two coats for a more solid finish, the colour becomes cooler and more grey, which I adore. I can see myself loving this shade during the winter months too. I’m also really impressed with the length of wear. In the past, I have honestly never found Chanel polish to be particularly long-wearing, but whether it’s a change in formula or just a happy, this one lasted longer than any ever have – about four days.

I love this grey purple hue.

Chanel Rouge Allure in Badine (LE) (R495). This baby pink shade has a slightly peachy hint to it, which softens what would otherwise be quite a barbie pink colour. It’s delicate and feminine, with a rich, melt-on-your-mouth texture that lips love.

Tip Use Chanel Le Crayon Lèvres in Rose Délicat (R340) to outline lips for more staying power and Capucine (R340) with Rouge Allure in Insaisissable (R495) for long-lasting, bold red lips.

Wanna see more? There are so many beautiful make-up items in this collection priced from R355 (for Le Vernis) to R775 (for Les 4 Ombres).

If you’re on a budget but still desperately want to indulge in a little piece of Paris, Chanel Le Vernis in Désirio (R355) is a really worthwhile way to spend your money.

It’s such an elegant, wearable shade that’s perfect to help you make the beauty transition from summer to autumn in style. It looks so trendy on fingernails, but I also love the bold look it lends to a pretty pedicure.
