Beauty Buzz | The Essence of Catrice

If you’ve been anywhere near a Clicks store (or more recently Dis-Chem) in the last few years, you’ll already know the amazement that is Essence cosmetics…but have you met her older sister, Catrice?

Hello gorgeous! Read for some quality, trend-driven make-up that won't break the bank?

The brand’s been making waves in the beauty industry and we recently had the opportunity to attend a great big, product-filled launch where we were officially introduced to the range by none other than SA glam girl Cindy Nell (look out for her special celeb appearance on Beauty Brains soon).

She-of-the-fabulous-hair-and-perfect-bronzed-glow (courtesy of Caribbean Tan) talked us through the concept behind this uber trend-focused range before letting us loose on the towering displays so that we could experience all the fabulosity for ourselves.

Take a look at some of the gorgeousness below from both Catrice and Essence, and keep an eye out for some upcoming beauty reviews – we were given loads of product to play with and we’ve already fallen in love with everything!

These budget-friendly brushes prove that quality doesn't have to cost a fortune. The slanted Gel Eyeliner Brush (R19,95) is my favourite - been using it for ages.

No woman should be without this beauty in her make-up kit. It's only R34,95 and works a total charm at perfecting newly painted manis and pedis.

Aside from having super cute names like 'Red Said Fred' and 'The Pinkie and The Brain', Catrice's nail colours (R34,95) are spot on trend with some of the most luxurious names in the biz, at a fraction of the price. And look at all those lippies (from R49,95)!

You can find the Essence range in Clicks and Dis-Chem stores, and Catrice exclusively at Dis-Chem. Happy beauty buying!

Behold the new love of my life...Catrice Made to Stay Highligher Pen (R49,95). Review up soon...
