This new shampoo is part of the first vegan range from INOAR and is 100% vegan (read more) as it contains no ingredients of animal origin. It’s also cruelty-free like all the INOAR products as they never test on animals.
Both the shampoo and conditioner smell unmistakably of cocount, a scent I’ve come to adore over the years after not liking anything remotely coconutty when I was younger. It just reminds me of being on holiday, sipping Piña Coladas and enjoy the summer rays somewhere far away… but back to reality. What can you look forward to in terms of the formula? Loads of nourishing oils like coconut, olive, macadamia, argan and wheat germ to help promote healthy hair as well as hair growth by penetrating into the hair fibres, and also treating your hair and scalp.
The texture of the shampoo is silky and it has a pretty pearlescent finish. Unlike many of the more natural shampoos I’ve tried, this one still foams well which is something I can’t do without having long hair. I still wash my hair twice (something I do with any and every shampoo I use) but I find I can get away with a R5-sized blob for the first wash and half the size for the second finishing wash. It foams lightly but well, spreads easily and leaves my hair feeling really soft even before applying conditioner.
Tip I prefer pump bottles or flip lids for my hair products as I find screw tops a bit tricky to use when in the shower. I lost a few blobs of this shampoo several times in the beginning when trying to pour it and keep in in my hand while putting the cap back on the bottle, so watch what you’re doing to avoid the good stuff going down the drain.
