This clever foot mask from Skin Republic has a faint aroma, which reminds me a bit of Eau de Cologne. It contains gingko biloba, antioxidant-rich green tea, refreshing peppermint, seaweed and nourishing shea butter to help sooth and repair rough heels and dry feet.
It’s easy to open – just tear the foil packaging – and to apply; open each bootie along the perforated edge and simply slip your (clean) foot inside. Then put your feet up for 20 minutes while you catch up on a book, that pile of magazines in your lounge or find out who’s done what to whom in your favourite series.
Once your time is up, pull off the booties (if your feet are dry like mine you’ll probably find that nearly all the product has soaked in) and give your feet a little massage to work in the rest of the serum. This helps any residual product to absorb and there’s no sticky residue!
After just 20 minutes, my feet felt soft, soothed, refreshed and beautifully hydrated. It’s like a little mini-pedicure! You can also try their Foot Peel (R120, read my review) which uses Alpha Hydroxy Acids to lift dead skin cells and turn dry, calloused feet into smooth soles.
Tip If you’re really into DIY beauty, rinse and dry the booties afterwards and use them again with any other foot cream as an at-home mask treat. Just coat your feet in a rich cream, pop on the booties and let the goodness soak in. You can even sleep with them on for an overnight treat for the soles.
